Christmas House Lights Tour ...

So, it’s almost Christmas, and last weekend Jess and I went on a quest to find some Christmas lights, and not just any … we were looking for crazy neighborhoods were everyone … well goes crazy with lights. I’m talking about neighborhoods that consume as much power in December from their Christmas lights as the state of Wyoming does all year. So here is a quick sample of some of the houses we encountered. Enjoy.

Here’s a nice house, with a life size manger scene that you can sorta see to the left.

These people were crazy, they created a giant light tree out of a very tall ladder, and then leaned it next to their house. It was huge, at least two stories.

To quote Jessica: “Uhmmm. Jewish.” I said blue lights don’t mean you are Jewish, but she’s most likely right.

And then there came the crazy house, the pictures just don’t do it justice. The house was so bright … so many lights. Side one of the crazy house …

Side two of crazy house …

Merry Christmas!

Hi Justin, By way of introduction, I've been reading your blog for a couple months now ... (hope that doesn't freak you out). We're kinda sorta neighbors ... my fiance and I love looking at Christmas lights ... were these in Irvine? I wanna see them! :)

Sadly, no they were in Pasadena, not Orange County.

Ohhh ... well, maybe an evening date then for us. :) Thanks. :) We're such suckers ... there's a neighborhood in Santa Ana that has amazing lights. One guys takes around two months before Christmas to set up his entire two car garage with miniature Christmas cities and train tracks! I can't even imagine ...
